Our Story Through the Years

2000
Expanded to France, Germany and Norway
Lexus Insurance Services France was established in early 2000 with products including motor, credit protection, warranty and GAP insurance. Established in Germany in 2000, we have strong cooperation partners there: our risk bearer Aioi Nissay Dowa, Toyota Germany and the Toyota Kreditbank. This collaboration permits us to provide our customers with attractive and tailor-made offers. We first established ourselves in Norway in 2001.
2007
Head Office opened at Toyota Motor Europe in Brussels
After 10 years, we decided to anchor and strengthen our collaboration with Toyota by integrating our operations into the Toyota Motor Europe HQ in Brussels. Our role is to work closely with Toyota Motor Europe to create successful insurance products for all European markets. This includes the repair process, parts management and technological advancements. We also act as the managing agent of all assistance and services, with products giving us responsibility in each market that Lexus operates in across Europe.
2010
Expansion in Portugal, New Connected Mobility department
Lexus Insurance Services took over full activities in Service Products from TME. During this period we also set up in Russia & Kazakhstan and opened a Connected & Mobility department in Belgium.
2013
New offices in the Baltics and Adria regions
Insurance scheme establishment in the Baltics (Estonia, Lithuania) followed by expansion in the Adria region (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia) and Turkey.
2015
Launch in Poland
Our branch in Poland was established in 2015 as the Lexus Insurance Competence Centre in Poland. Our primary task was developing a suite of insurance products for customers of Toyota Bank Poland.
2017
Pioneering Kaizen for collisions
Developed by Lexus Insurance Services, a new Kaizen collision department shows our commitment to supporting TME/LED’s value chain department.
2019
Expansion in Georgia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Iceland
Insurance companies established in Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, followed by a new presence in Iceland.
2020
Established in South Africa, Austria, Cyprus & Kirgizstan
The new customer facing brand name Lexus Insurance Services was adopted. Launch of Usage Based Insurance & Full Hybrid Insurance product. Launch of SAWA (service activated warranty).
2021
Launch of PHEV connected services
Scheme establishment in Azerbaijan & Latvia, launch of PHEV connected insurance products, Lexus Insurance Services establishment in Armenia, Ukraine and Belgium.
